Ate much lobster but the Digby scallops wrapped in bacon and grilled are epic!
Now to sleep...tackling lake superior and the ride to tunderbay bygosh myson.... Yikes its a long way!!!
Next time i ride across the country i.ll live in somewhere more senibly sized...like Monaco or Tazmania maybe.

Long time no see!

Lunenburg
Home of the Bluenose schooner (being restored) and a wikid bowl of lobster poutine. Much more touristy than Peggys cove, with an active working harbour and lots of cool places to stay. We took two nights in a ocean/harbour view room at the Rum Runner Inn... Very nice.
Starting to repack and regear for the return- starting off tomorrow for Bathurst New Brunswick and then over to the trans canada.
I have trimmed down considerably for the return adjusting mainly for the wind and weather. No more bags strapped on top and better fiting jacket make for a much more aerodynamic setup. That and a truly waterProof overjacket and away i go!
cross canada in 8 days??. Lets see!!!

Peggys Cove
Just cool... Some locals had said it was boring and touristy... Well there were more tourists (like us) than in all the rest of the province.. But for good reason, this place is very cool.. Massive glaciated rock formation to scramble around on and yummy hot gingerbread with lemon sauce for after. :-)
Walton Lighthouse
No longer operating - set up as interp centre with most of the lamp intact... And a super view...not much room inside though!
Shubenacadie tidal bore
A bit of a "bore" to watch as it took about an hour but hopefully the before and after catch the idea. It was a 20 foot tide this day.

Fundy
As in Bay of....
Ferry to Digby NS in a couple of hours. Meeting Jo, Anna, Kyle and ROWAN in a few hours... Sweet!
Diner Philosophy
At Carmens Diner just across the border from Maine...
The thing about diners....
1. Time does not exist there
2. Food is good
3. Smiles
Vermont
This makes up for a lot.. Best riding yet!!!! No windz, twisty roads (without potholez or traffic), and spectacular rolling mountains

Back on the road
Stopped at this little diner in upstate new york for second breakfast and sorted out my route across lake champlain into vermont. Photo is looking out from diner... Could make st john tomorro if i get a big day in.
Needless to say, a new clutch, rear tire, oil change and a days extra rest make this a whole new deal.
Upstate new york is beautiful bike country... Makes up for other times eh!

Sunset lake Nipissing
A quiet day, time to repack and get a good sleep. Ottawa tomorro, a new rear tire, and on we go
Tyred
Tires should not look like this. All squared off and "cupped" i believe the term is.
Thought this would happen but not so soon or so badly.
So... Found a replacement in Ottawa so its a pitstop tyre change tomorro then on to Montreal.
Glen Garry... Good night
North Bay ON. Im just bagged - another 9 hour riding day sees me pass 4500km so far. 2000 or so more till Lunenberg.
Drove around town for about an hour in that driving in circles looking for dinner and a place to stay... And coming up empty until... Glen Garry motel. Just another strip motel from the street 50$ a night with a british style pubacross the street... Im in.
So i ask for one of the rooms right on the highway so i can park and offload easily... Well, How about a cabin by the lake instead? Really??? sure same price.... OK
Its awesome, beyond eclectic, and feet from the lake. Just amazing..as was dinner across the street.
Time for a rest and regroup.
